Spray the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or line with a slow cooker liner.
Dice the red bell pepper and onion. Mince garlic if you choose to use fresh garlic cloves then set vegetables aside.
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it up with a wooden spatula.
Season the turkey with cumin, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and chili powder. Continue to break up the turkey while combining the spices. Cook until there is no pink visible.
Once the turkey is cooked through, add to the slow cooker along with the bell pepper, onion, diced tomatoes, corn, garlic, and chicken broth.
Top the ingredients in the slow cooker with the taco seasoning and remaining 1 tbsp of chili powder, stirring until combined.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-7 hours.
Optional: Add desired toppings like avocado, tortilla chips, sour cream, etc. Enjoy!
